It is said that in old times, women who were punished by the court would be disallowed from singing and ‘being heard’ as a reputable voice of their community.
When their voice was taken away, everything about them disappeared.
No torture or jail time was required.
In fact, the mere presence of a woman without the right to her own voice was a statement loud enough for the whole:
Disobey and lose everything.
A New Era: The Power of a Woman’s Roar
When a Woman is stripped of her voice
So we learned.
We learned to stay quiet, to play small, to not talk of things taboo. To hide our secrets and give our power away – because it would cost our lives if we did otherwise.
The result? A world of women playing the rules laid out by a fallen patriarchal culture.
It may look like women are gaining their place in a modern world, but the truth is, it’s a long road ahead until we make it to the top positions where decisions are made, with the large majority of women still unaware of their womb-voice connection, leading them to over-speak, not be heard, give their power away and still not understand why they don’t feel safe in their bodies.
Women in the board-rooms, in the bed-room and in all kinds of rooms, are subconsciously playing out an age-old story:
If I play small enough, nice enough or pretty enough, I’ll get by, I’ll Survive
(Cue: I will survive song as if surviving is what we’re aiming for…..)
Even the modern-day spiritual movement is reminding women of the importance of being passive, soft spoken, sensual and in their receptive state – drilling into our heads that motivated, ambitious and dedicated women are stuck in their ‘masculine’.
I call BS – on all of it.
We have lost our Primal Voice.
We have forgotten what it means to be a Woman of Power.
We have lost the connection between the Power of the Womb and the Wisdom of the Heart.
We have lost the voice of the Creatrix that moves through us.
We have become scared of our own voice and the truth we are here to speak.
And when women lose their voice, they lose their Power.
I know that the scariest part of awakening our voice is finding out who we truly are. What we truly stand for. Who we truly are destined to be. And those aspects of us will undoubtedly shift out reality.
Why?
Because when you awaken your voice, you awaken what has been called in ancient traditions as your Sound Current- the very frequency of your Soul.
You activate the Law of Order & Harmony – that which was understood and taught by the Priestesses of Hathor in Egypt – which brings to surface all that is not aligned to the FULLNESS of who you came here to be.
As I prepare for the next part of the Lemurian Healing Arts Training, I find myself orienting to a new voice. A voice that carries the sharpness of a sword and the light of the diamond. Sometimes, to shine the light means to get a backlash of all that we refuse to look at.
And that’s what separates a Priestess from the rest.
She is willing to shine the light no matter the outcome. She is willing to go forward anyway, because there is no sense in continuing to play the old games, holding up the old belief systems and continuing to play the nice, pretty, submissive girl that just survives.
You can no longer fit into it anyway so, you might as well discover what you were made to fit into in the first place…..
Vocal Immersion – Awakening the Sound Current
Working with the voice is part of the Ancient Priestess Healing Arts – it goes so much deeper than simply speaking up or expressing our rage. An awakened voice is anchored in the Power of the Womb and connected up to the Wisdom of the Heart.

Liberating herself of past fears, hurts and angers; releasing the heart and voice of stagnant energy that shuts down our vitality, youthful energy and liberated expression

Deepening into sensuality and sacred expression; letting yourself not only be seen but feel pleasure and liberation in ways you couldn’t even imagine

Creating stronger boundaries; no more people pleasing, no more saying yes when all you want is to say NO!

Putting herself first; finally declaring what’s important to your life, relationship and home goes on the top of your ‘Week’s Top 3 list’, not your 40’s bucket-list.
Imagine, a life where all of these traits are simply natural to you.
